About ClearJump
ClearJump is a showjumping course walk app built by a rider, for riders.

ClearJump is built for showjumpers. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights. We keep things simple: your data stays on your device, and we collect the minimum necessary to make the app work.
1. What we collect
Data you create in the app
- Course walk data — fence types, stride counts, distances, heights
- Round notes and AI coaching responses
- Horse names and profiles you add to the app
- Rider profile information you choose to enter
- Venue and competition class names
- Photos taken during course walks
All of this data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. It is not uploaded to any server or shared with third parties.
Data sent to our AI coaching service
When you use AI coaching features (pre-round strategy, round debrief, training insights), the relevant walk data and notes are sent to our API hosted on Vercel and processed by Anthropic's Claude AI. This data is used solely to generate your coaching response and is not stored or used to train AI models.
Location data
If you enable GPS tracking during a course walk, your device's location is used to map the walk route. Location data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Motion/pedometer data
In Auto mode, the app accesses your device's motion sensors to count steps. This data is processed entirely on-device and is never transmitted.
Microphone and speech recognition
If you use voice input features, audio is processed on-device by Apple's speech recognition framework. We do not receive or store any audio data.
2. What we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information
- We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs
- We do not track you across apps or websites
- We do not sell data to third parties

3. Third-party services
- Anthropic Claude API — AI coaching responses. Data sent is limited to walk and round data needed to generate a response. Anthropic Privacy Policy →

- Open-Meteo — Weather data for the compete screen. Only your approximate location is used to fetch local weather. No personal data is transmitted. Open-Meteo Terms →
- Apple TestFlight / App Store — App distribution. Subject to Apple's privacy policy.
4. Data retention and deletion
All your walk history, notes, and horse data is stored locally on your device. You can delete individual walks from the Review tab, or delete all data by removing the app from your device.
We do not retain any copies of your data on our servers. AI coaching requests are not logged or stored after the response is returned.
5. Age requirement
ClearJump is intended for users aged 18 years and over. Showjumping and equestrian sport are risk activities, and this app provides AI-generated coaching guidance intended for adult riders who understand and accept the inherent risks of the sport.
By using ClearJump, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has used this app, please contact us at clearjump.app.ios@outlook.com.
6. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Subscription Terms
ClearJump Pro is an auto-renewable subscription at €4.99 per month.
- Free trial: 7 days free. No charge during the trial period.
- Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. After the 7-day free trial, your subscription automatically renews at €4.99/month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Managing your subscription: Your subscription can be managed and auto-renewal can be turned off in your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions after purchase.
- Cancellation: If you cancel during the free trial, you will not be charged. If you cancel after the trial period, you will retain access until the end of the current billing period.

ClearJump is intended for users aged 18 years and over. Showjumping and equestrian sport carry inherent physical risk. By downloading or using ClearJump, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
